Colombia offers attractive incentives for film and audiovisual productions, including those in Medellín, to encourage international filmmakers to choose the country as their production destination. The primary incentives are:

Colombian Film Fund (FFC) - Cash Rebate: 40% cash rebate on expenses related to audiovisual services, such as local casting, crew hire, equipment rental, and location fees.

20% cash rebate on logistical services, including transport, catering, and accommodation.
Overall Benefit: This typically results in a net rebate of approximately 30-32% across total qualifying expenditures.

CINA (Audiovisual Investment in Colombia Certificates) - Transferable Tax Credit:

Credit Value: Provides a 35% transferable tax credit on total qualifying foreign filming investments in Colombia.

Certificate Issuance: Certificates are issued in the name of the foreign producer by the Ministry of Culture within 15 days of receiving and approving all required documentation.
Additional Information: The CINA can be sold directly to individuals or entities that are income tax payers in Colombia or traded on the Colombian stock market.

The Trillium Team

Ai is significantly transforming film translation, making it faster, more cost-effective, and accessible to a global audience. It impacts both subtitling and dubbing, improving efficiency while reducing production costs. Trillium is working with Ai specialists in audio and visual translation for films. This service made exclusively to South American, Central American and Mexican producers, means that films formerly having limited release opportunities, will be available in markets world-wide and in over 100 languages. Conversely, films completed in numerous other languages looking to break into Latin America, will be able to do so through Trillium's partnerships and services.

Ai-powered transcription and translation tools can generate subtitles almost instantly. Traditional subtitle creation requires manual transcription, translation, and timing adjustments—a process that can take days or even weeks. Ai tools  automate these tasks, providing near-instant results with high accuracy. These tools continuously learn and refine their translations, making them more contextually aware and reducing errors. Ai also enhances automatic speech recognition (ASR), improving accuracy in transcribing dialogue, even when dealing with complex accents, dialects, or industry-specific jargon. This reduces the need for manual intervention, significantly cutting down costs.

Traditionally, dubbing requires hiring voice actors, studio time, and extensive post-production editing. Ai-driven voice cloning and synthetic voice generation eliminate much of this cost. Our Ai tools use deep learning to replicate an actor’s voice in multiple languages while preserving their tone and emotional delivery. This means a film’s original cast can be "dubbed" into various languages without recording new voiceovers, making it more authentic. Ai-assisted lip-syncing is also improving. These technologies adjust lip movements in real-time to match dubbed audio, reducing the “out-of-sync” effect that traditional dubbing often struggles with. This makes dubbed content feel more natural and immersive.

Ai drastically lowers the cost of film translation. Traditional localization involves hiring multiple translators, voice actors, and technicians for each language, often costing thousands or even millions for global releases. Ai automates much of this work, making high-quality translations affordable even for independent filmmakers. Scalability is another key advantage. Ai can translate films into dozens of languages simultaneously, allowing studios to distribute content worldwide faster than ever before. This is especially beneficial for streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+, which rely on multi-language support to maximize global reach.

One challenge in film translation is maintaining cultural accuracy. Ai, powered by natural language processing (NLP), is getting better at understanding idioms, slang, and regional differences. Machine learning models analyze massive datasets to detect context and suggest culturally appropriate translations.

 OUR MEDELLIN STUDIO PROJECT

Trillium One Entertainment has identified a 40 acre site on the edge of Medellin Colombia and is currently negotiating its purchase. The studio will consist of 3 sound stages, and one 40,000 sqft special effects stage, production offices for 4 films, podcast studios, and support buildings.  A 3 stage facility could see revenues over $25,000 per day when fully occupied. This includes the many extras such as office space, wardrobe and props buildings, construction shops, retail businesses, theatres and parking.  The Studio site will also include a training facility or school for filmmakers. The site will host equipment rental companies, labour offices as well as cafes, and restaurants.

A high-tech LED digital stage will be constructed to attract the larger effects heavy productions. Think of Iron Man or Star Wars as examples of projects requiring state-of-the-art facilities. Costume and props buildings will be on-site for filmmakers, as well as an "Internet Broadcasting Studio".
